Hey guise! Here are the workouts I’ve been doing/ done before.
When I first started working out, I started with all cardio, because you can’t build muscles until the fat is gone. I did
Hip Hop Abs by Shaun T, you can purchase his CD’s here. Although, these workouts are pretty easy for anyone who has an active or semi active life style.
If you go to a gym… I got my gym membership about three weeks ago and I don’t regret it at all. I started out by doing the elliptical machine for 30 minutes, sprinting for a minute every five minutes, so on the 5, 10, 15, etc. Then I did my toning portion of the workout. Then 15 minutes on the bike machine and you’re good to go :)
Toning potion of a cardio workout: this is about a 20-25 minute portion, all it is is 20 regular crunches, 20 twists with an 8 pound ball, 20 regular crunches, 20 obliques (20 on both sides), 20 reverse crunches, 20 bicycle, 20 reverse, 20 double crunches. Then you get on all fours and do leg lifts (20), then with one leg in the air and bent at the knee do 20 lifts on each side. Then pull your leg into your abdominals and extend, pressing through your hamstring and glutes (20). Hold with your leg out straight in the air and squeeze for 20 seconds. Repeat on other leg.
If you are like me, and you like doing weight lifting on day, cardio another, here is what I do for that
Cardio days: 5 min walk to warm up. 30 minutes on either the treadmill or the elliptical, sprinting for a minute on the 5, 10, 15, etc. the abs part of the toning workout and 15 min on the bike machine. 5 min walk to cool off.
Weight days: 1/2 mile walk to warm up, squats, deadlifts, bent over row, dips, pull- ups, lunges with weights, arm curl, row, overhead press, pulldown, chest press, leg extensions, seated leg curl, glutes, abdominal, 1/2 mile walk to cool down. For all of these you want to stick with a weight that you can do 3 sets of 8-10 reps. take a quick break in between each set, and if you get too tired then drink some water and try again. People at the gym with be kind and help you out if you ask them.
